A Taste of Japan: Pure, Fresh, and Unforgettable.

Japanese Sushi

I am SUSHI guide in Japan.
I work in a high-end SUSHI restaurant. I will guide you to the best SUSHI for foreigners visiting Japan.

We have opportunities to eat SUSHI for birthdays, celebrations, and special dinners with special guests.

A long time ago, many SUSHI restaurants didn’t  have menus or prices. The price of everything varied depending on the market conditions at that time. It was quite unreasonable for customers to pay for SUSHI.

Of course, there are still vestiges of this system, but there are more restaurants that offer course prices.

Young people also began to feel comfortable visiting SUSHI restaurants. The price of the menu, called OMAKASE, starts at 3,000 yen and the upper limit is quite expensive.

We think the best guideline for high-end SUSHI OMAKASE is between 15,000 yen to 25,000 yen.

🍣Restaurants that serve OMAKASE course with snacks at first, followed by nigirizushi in sequence.

🍣OMAKASE course of nigirizushi only.

There is also a difference in pieces of nigirizushi. If you want a variety of SUSHI, you can request for a smaller portion of rice.

Ask the chef after you order your drinks. Some restaurants allow you to add more OKONOMI only after the OMAKASE course is over.

Sushi restaurant prices range widely.
The price is not always the highest quality SUSHI.

The atmosphere of the restaurant, the personality of the chef, the selection of sake, and many other factors.

I went to very famous SUSHI restaurant at Ginza. I had the sad impression that the chef was not very friendly and kept offering me nigiri and asking me to eat it quickly and leave. Even now, I will never go to that restaurant again, and I don’t recommend it.

The OMAKASE at the restaurant I work at is 22,000 yen per person.

Small children are not allowed to make reservations at many high-end SUSHI restaurants.
