A Taste of Japan: Pure, Fresh, and Unforgettable.

Gari, Agari, and Namida

These items are essential for safe and delicious SUSHI.

Gari Ginger is an ingredient in the sweet and sour pickled gari that accompanies SUSHI.

Gari is a chopstick rest between meals. Do you know why we eat SUSHI and gari together?

When eating raw fish, SUSHI, the concern is food poisoning. Ginger contains a component called gingerol, which has a sterilizing effect.

Japanese tea is called Agari.

Some people ask, “Is Agari a green tea? Is it sweet tea?“ No, No… It’s not a sweet matcha.
Catechins in Japanese tea also have a sterilizing effect. Many Japanese people also actively order it to prevent overindulgence in alcoholic beverages. And not just any green tea will do, but dark, very hot green tea that can wash away fat perfect. When you go to a SUSHI restaurant, green tea is served in a large, thick cup that feels a little heavy to hold. Let’s order Agari!!

And Namida means Wasabi, because eating too much Wasabi causes tears.
