The southern most OMAKASE

Sushi guide Ikura has been to many SUSHI restaurants.

And this time, I went to Ishigaki Island to eat the southernmost OMAKASE in Japan 🇯🇵.

It’s a very famous restaurant in Ishigaki Island. I was finally able to make a reservation this time after making a request to local acquaintance 3 months in advance.
The last time I came to the island, I couldn’t get a reservation.

The restaurant is located in the center of the island, easily accessible to tourists. Seating is available at the counter and in tatami rooms. I don’t think there were any private rooms. You can order both alacarte and course menus. Prices are also very reasonable.

Of course, I ordered the OMAKASE ✨.

The course started with mozuku vinegared. The rice is big and filling. Miso soup is also included at the end.

The most notable dish in the OMAKASE is the Ishigaki beef nigiri. It’s the  SUSHI of Ishigaki Island’s beef.

The tiger prawn was very fresh and the tail was still alive on the plate. The head of the prawn is also fried and can be eaten without throwing it away.

On request, we added fried island fish after the OMAKASE.

The restaurant is crowded with customers with reservations, but it’s a rustic restaurant and we would like to visit again.
